Southern has been engineering labels and nameplates in the UK since the 1950s. Today we produce for some of the country’s most regulated manufacturers, from a single UK site, under EN 9100 and ISO 9001 quality management.

1950s - Founded
Southern is founded on the South Coast as a specialist supplier of metal nameplates and identification labels to British industry.
1970s - Industrial expansion
Expansion into screen-printed self-adhesive labelling for industrial OEMs across the UK.
1990s - Quality formalised
Adoption of ISO 9001 quality management as the operating standard across the business.
2010s - Defence supply chain
Registration on JOSCAR and ADS membership, formally positioning Southern within the UK defence and aerospace supply chain.

A specialist UK label and nameplate manufacturer, certified across aerospace, quality and cyber essentials, serving regulated sectors from one UK production site.
