The aerospace and defence quality management standard. EN 9100 is the operating system that defines how we plan production, control documentation, manage non-conformance and release product. Audited annually by an accredited certification body.

The underlying international quality management standard. ISO 9001 underpins how we plan, run and improve every manufacturing process at Southern.
JOSCAR Registered
Southern is registered on JOSCAR, the joint supply-chain accreditation register used by major UK aerospace, defence and security customers. JOSCAR validates our financial, ethical and operational status to OEM buyers in one place.
ADS Member
Membership of ADS, the trade body for UK aerospace, defence, security and space industries. ADS membership confirms our standing within the UK regulated-industry supply chain.
Cyber Essentials
UK government-backed certification covering how we protect customer artwork, technical data and commercial information. Particularly important for defence and regulated-industry customers.
Material compliance
On request, we provide material declarations and statements aligned to REACH, RoHS and customer-specific compliance regimes.
How quality runs through every project
Controlled specification
Every order is produced against a documented specification - material, adhesive, ink, finish, dimension, tolerance, marking and packaging. No verbal agreements.
In-process quality assurance
Quality is built in, not inspected in. We run documented in-process checks at every production stage - print, finishing, conversion and final inspection.
Traceability
Substrate, ink and adhesive batches are recorded against the production order. For regulated work, this record is provided with each delivery.
Release documentation
Certificate of conformity supplied with every order. Material traceability documentation, declaration of compliance and customer-specific release paperwork on request.
